The Academy of Political Studies joins the International Network Against Cyber Hate (INACH), the largest network of organizations engaged in combating hate, extremism and incitement to violence online.
This membership of ASP, as the umbrella organization for the Trusted Flaggers Network in Albania, provides an additional opportunity for the fast reporting and removal of harmful material on social networks as such as Meta, X , TikTok and YouTube through INACH's privileged complaint handling system.
ASP is coordinating further cooperation with state authorities in the country on identification and blocking from these international platforms of illegal material and fake profiles, which have recently become a growing public concern.
Also, experts engaged as part of the network of Trusted Flaggers will benefit from dedicated training to identify hate speech and violent extremism, as well as participate in conferences and other international organizations. ASP's commitment to providing research expertise and facilitating collaboration between public and private actors in enhancing cyber security continues to be supported by the United States Embassy in Tirana.
INACH gathers around itself 35 organizations from 28 countries around the world, which are active in the implementation of human rights on the Internet. Thanks to this cooperation in four different continents, the organization offers a diverse perspective, allowing the network to oppose all forms of discrimination on the Internet and to include different cultural backgrounds and languages.
