Under the yellow protocol of anti-COVID measures, but with a lot of energy and desire to learn, was held the first national course of the School of Political Studies 2020. The "Leadership and political representation" topic was at the center of the training organised on July 10-11, 2020, in the garden terrace of the Rogner Hotel in Tirana. The School Program is implemented this year with the support of the Council of Europe and the Open Society Foundation for Albania.

The first module of the course was developed in the format of intensive training on character-focused leadership. The curriculum developed by the McCain Institute, at the University of Arizona in the US, was dealt with by the expert, Edlira Gjoni. The training developed a series of contemporary theoretical techniques and practical exercises through which the participants worked to improve their leadership skills with the objective of strengthening individual and team capacity.

The leadership topic was further addressed in the second part of this module in a session titled "The people and management systems to run a great organization", delivered by Mr. Indrit Puteci, director of "Value the Person Albania" and an alumni of the School. The presented techniques for creating systems and managing procedures for people and business, were well received by the participants and increased their overall interest in the session.

The second module of the course was conducted as an open discussion with the political scientist Mr. Ermal Hasimja, on the topic of "Logical fallacies in political discourse". Through practical examples of Albanian and international politics, Mr. Hasimja presented a critical approach to the classic model of political representation in modern democracies.
